Francis C. Marinelli is Senior Counsel and a senior member of the Firm’s Public Company Advisory Practice, which advises U.S. and non–U.S. public companies on all aspects of their compliance with the U.S. securities laws and the listing requirements of the major U.S. exchanges. He also advises companies on matters of corporate law generally.
Frank joined Simpson Thacher in 1988 and became Corporate Counsel in 1998 and Senior Counsel in 2010. He received a B.A. “with High Honor” and an M.B.A. from Michigan State University in 1973 and 1974, respectively, and received a J.D., cum laude, from the Fordham University School of Law in 1987, where he was a member of the Fordham Law Review. Frank was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Milton Pollack, Senior United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York, from 1987 to 1988.
Frank formerly practiced as a Certified Public Accountant. He received the Elijah Watt Sells Award from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 1977.
