James R. Carnes has tried cases in federal and state courts all over the country. He has obtained favorable jury verdicts and arbitration awards for corporate clients and individuals in a variety of legal matters, including:
- Workplace injury claims
- Wrongful death and personal injury claims
- Commercial disputes
- Real estate disputes
He has also argued in state and federal appellate courts, including the Michigan Supreme Court. Having a trial lawyer who is willing and eager to try cases gives his clients an advantage both in settlements and in the courtroom.
Outside the courtroom, he teams with his clients to efficiently litigate cases, avoid discovery disputes, and manage their risk. Jamie serves as a co-administrator in the Litigation department. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
