Formerly with a large law firm, attorney Jason Klawitter created this firm as part of his ongoing commitment to address the legal and business objectives of his clients.
Mr. Klawitter believes that attorneys in real estate and business law are far too often roadblocks and deal-breakers instead of the creative and practical problem-solvers that they claim to be.
Klawitter effectively and ethically advocate his client’s positions and rights while keeping their ultimate goals in mind.
Mr. Klawitter has extensive experience representing both landlords and tenants in drafting, reviewing and negotiating office, industrial and retail leases, subleases, assignments and work letter agreements.
He has a special sensitivity to the needs of high technology tenants and emerging growth companies, including arrangements for telecommunication equipment, uninterruptible power sources, HVAC and clean room construction.
Clients have ranged from small business tenants to blue-chip corporations and small landlords to several of the premier REITs and privately held companies in the industry.
In the courtroom, Mr. Klawitter has successfully represented clients in disputes involving specific performance of contracts, contentious quiet title actions involving easements and lot-line disputes, commercial lease disputes, partition actions, non-disclosure of property defects, broker/agent fraud, breach of contract, judicial foreclosure actions, and other complex agricultural, business, construction, employment, environmental and real property litigation.
Klawitter has also effectively used alternative dispute resolution techniques, including mediation and arbitration, to resolve disputes for his clients.
Mr. Klawitter is a member of the U.S Supreme Court Bar, the State Bar of California and the Santa Clara County Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Klawitter is active in numerous trade associations and the San Jose/Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Klawitter is presently serving as a co-shairman for commercial leasing in the Real Property Section of the State Bar. He has served in the Santa Clara County Bar Association as a Trustee and three terms as the Chairman of the Real Property Section.
