
Jessica has been representing a variety of clients in complex intellectual property matters for more than a decade. She is experienced in negotiating intellectual property licensing agreements, litigating copyright disputes and preparing trademark applications.
Further, Jessica is experienced in drafting various entertainment industry contracts, including recording contracts, musician agreements and music licensing agreements. Prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC as Of Counsel, Jessica served as a senior associate attorney at another Capital Region law firm.
There, in addition to intellectual property matters, she also handled state and federal litigation and administrative proceedings involving energy, telecommunications, technology, health care and real property matters. Jessica advised energy and telecommunications clients in regulatory proceedings, and she counseled businesses and municipalities on real property tax and eminent domain issues.
Jessica is as committed to helping vulnerable members of the community as she is to helping businesses protect their intellectual property. She has provided pro-bono representation in domestic violence and child custody matters. In 2008, she received The Legal Project’s Brigid Nolan Memorial Award for Pro-Bono Service to Victims of Domestic Violence.
Jessica received her juris doctorate from Albany Law School, where she served as the managing editor of lead articles for the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology and as research assistant at the school’s Science and Technology Law Center. She also participated in the Senior Prize Trials Moot Court Competition. Jessica received her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
