Leslie M. Pineyro focuses her practice on Bankruptcy, Creditors Rights, Commercial Litigation, Trademark and Entertainment Law.
Leslie joined Jones & Walden, LLC as an associate in 2008. She practices in all chapters of bankruptcy with an emphasis on individual and corporate chapter 11 bankruptcies. Leslie has successfully confirmed numerous individual and corporate chapter 11 plans and assisted in multiple asset sales for chapter 11 debtors.
Leslie has additionally represented borrowers and creditors in state court receivership actions. Leslie is admitted to practice in the State of Georgia and is a member of the Bankruptcy, Entertainment and Intellectual Property sections of the State Bar of Georgia.
Prior to joining Jones & Walden, LLC, Leslie practiced at the boutique entertainment law firm of Jonathan E. Leonard, P.C., where she negotiated entertainment contracts and managed business and intellectual property matters for a variety of entertainment clients, including Grammy Award-winning writers, producers, and artists.
Leslie M. Pineyro graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance in 2001. She graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law in May of 2006.
During law school, Leslie served as a the Director of Volunteer Services at Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, a non-profit legal organization dedicated to providing legal assistance to Georgia’s artists. Leslie was also the President of the Georgia State University College of Law chapter of the American Constitution Society and received the 2005–06 Georgia State University College of Law Public Service Award.
During law school, Leslie served as the graduate research assistant to Professor Michael Landua, Fulbright Scholar and Head of Intellectual Property Studies. Leslie received the Georgia State University CALI Award for Excellence in Copyright Law and Entertainment Law.
