Lisa M. Conmy is a partner and finance lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. Her practice focuses on the representation of investors in institutional private placements and also involves general corporate law, venture capital financings, energy and project finance and securities matters.
She is a member of the firm’s Finance & Financial Institutions, Transactional & Securities, and Private Equity & Venture Capital Practices and the Energy and Technology Industry Teams.
Ms. Conmy’s experience in energy and project finance includes representing developers in the construction, development and financing of renewable energy generation facilities, including wind and solar facilities.
Ms. Conmy also regularly assists companies resident in Catapult Chicago, a technology incubator sponsored by Foley, with various capital raises, including convertible note financings, venture capital financings, angel investments and friends and family rounds.
Prior to joining Foley, Ms. Conmy was an associate in the Corporate and Securities Department of Gardner Carton & Douglas.
She was also an associate in the Silicon Valley office of Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin and Hachigian, LLP where her practice concentrated on mergers and acquisitions and the representation of venture funds and emerging growth companies in private placements.

Ms. Conmy earned her J.D., cum laude, at Northwestern University School of Law, where she was a member of the Journal of International Law and Business. She obtained her B.S. in finance from Indiana University.
