Lisa Butler practices in commercial and corporate law focusing on energy and resources transactions and projects. Lisa has expertise in acquisitions and divestments, joint venture arrangements, off-take arrangements and risk management associated with exploration and production activities, in Australia, the US and internationally.
Her experience includes oil and gas projects (upstream, midstream and downstream) including major LNG projects, power generation and supply projects, hard rock mining and renewables.
Lisa advises US, Australian and other international clients on cross-border transactions, due diligence, joint ventures, foreign investment and structuring.
Lisa is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) and the Australian Mining and Petroleum Law Association (AMPLA).
Lisa was a finalist for the 2014 Lawyers Weekly “30 Under 30” in Energy and Resources Awards and for the 2013 Women in Resources Outstanding Young Professional Award. Lisa was also the co-founder of the Australian Young Energy Network.
