Maggie Krantz

Maggie Krantz has focused on the representation of health care providers for more than 10 years. She represents all types of providers—from hospitals and other institutional providers to ambulatory surgery centers, freestanding diagnostic imaging facilities, and physicians and physician groups—in a variety of state and federal regulatory matters.

Maggie routinely advises clients on Virginia Certificate of Public Need (COPN) matters and state registration, certification and licensure requirements. She counsels and assists clients in developing effective strategies to ensure compliance with the Medicare provider-based guidelines, space sharing rules, certification requirements and billing and reimbursement regulations. She also helps clients navigate the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law and other health care fraud and abuse matters.

In addition, Maggie provides advice to clients in joint ventures, professional service arrangements, employment arrangements and many other corporate matters. Maggie joined Williams Mullen in 2016 after two separate stints in another Richmond firm’s health care practice group. In between, she served as a consultant to the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity Bavaria in Germany, the largest footprint in the U.S. Army Medical Command.

A native of Poland, Maggie is fluent in Polish and German. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. She received a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from Christopher Newport University.
