Mark J. Geragos is a nationally reputed and a leading criminal defense lawyer. His practice areas include criminal law, civil litigations, and appeals. He is the principal of the law firm Geragos & Geragos. Mark Geragos has successfully handled many high-profile cases.

Some of the most prominent personalities in the world have been his clients. They include pop star Michael Jackson, former Congressman Gary Condit, singer Chris Brown, former first brother Roger Clinton, actress Winona Ryder, the Sarkisyan family, Nicole Ritchie, international arms dealer Sarkis Soghanalian, and many others.

Under criminal law, he focuses on State criminal offenses and Federal criminal offenses. He handles cases civil litigation cases related to Employment law, Serious personal injury, Civil rights, Wrongful death, Police Misconduct, and Class Actions.

Mark Geragos  shot to fame by acquiring acquittals in back-to-back State and Federal Court jury trials for the famous figure of the Whitewater controversy, Susan McDougal. He later secured a presidential pardon for Susan McDougal for a conviction sustained before he started representing her.

Geragos has won two consecutive dismissals of murder charges against clients, during the last decade. He proved flawed eyewitness identification in those cases. One of those clients even won a $1.7 million settlement after his law firm sued the City of Glendale for their false arrest of that client.

Mark Geragos was the lead lawyer in another twelve-week murder trial, in which the victim was the defendant’s four-year-old daughter. The jury did not convict his client in this case. He also successfully represented Chris Brown.

In the case of James Bond movie director Lee Tamahori, attorney Mark Geragos won dismissal of prostitution charges against him. He secured dismissal of all felony charges including torture and kidnapping for the well-known exiled leader of China’s shadow government, Hung Bao Zhong.

In the case of a USC co-ed charged with murder in the death of her fetus, lawyer Mark J Geragos acquired dismissal of murder charges for the third time. Lawyer M Geragos acquired dismissal of a very old murder charge against Kazuyoshi Miura, a Japanese national. This case became popular in Japanese media as Japanese O.J.

Mark has represented Barry Bonds’ personal trainer, Greg Anderson, for several years in a case relating to the Federal Investigation into the use of steroid in sports.

Mark served as one of the lead lawyers in a pair of groundbreaking Federal Class Action Lawsuits. The charges were against New York Life Insurance and AXA Corporation issuing insurance policies in the early 20th century.

It was the time that saw genocide of over 1.5 million Armenians by the Ottoman Turk Regime. He has been successful in settling these two cases for more than $37.5 million. He has sued the Government of Turkey for reparations arising out of the Armenian Genocide.

Born in Los Angeles, he went to Haverford College in Pennsylvania as an undergraduate. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School.
