Nicholas J. Doyle focuses his practice on patent litigation, with particular emphasis on district court Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) litigation. Nicholas has technical experience in the chemical field, predominantly relating to biologically active molecules.

Nicholas’s district court experience in complex patent litigation runs the gamut of pre-trial work, from the complaint to the pre-trial order. He is particularly experienced at both taking and defending witness depositions. In addition to his district court practice, Nicholas also has experience with proceedings in various venues, including the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC).

Nicholas is also dedicated to his pro bono practice. He has represented clients at hearings before the Social Security Administration and appeals to the SSAs Appeals Council. In addition, Nicholas has counseled veterans through the process of appealing unfavorable service-connected disability ratings.

Before law school, Nicholas conducted graduate research probing the molecular structure of certain biological micelles. In particular, he used mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy to study the aggregation of numerous bile salts, which aid in the absorption of lipids and fat-soluble vitamins.
