Robert Duggan is a multifaceted corporate attorney who advises clients on business combinations and an extensive menu of collaborative arrangements and joint ventures. While he devotes much of his practice to deal work and corporate finance, he also advises on copyright and trademark matters and deftly handles marketing, licensing, distribution, and other agreements.
His roster includes clients in a range of industries, from software and information technology to more traditional sectors like financial services, health care, and arts, publishing, and entertainment. Rob’s practice focuses on business and financing transactions as well as the protection and exploitation of intellectual property and data assets.
He devotes substantial time to corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures as well as marketing, licensing, distribution, franchising, and manufacturing agreements, with an emphasis on the software and information technology sector for both domestic and foreign companies.
Two interrelated areas of his concentration are complex licensing and technology transfer transactions, including technology alliances, and the planning, negotiating, and documenting of business process and IT outsourcing transactions.
