Acting upon that decision, Mr. Silverman enrolled at Rutgers University School of Law, from which he earned a juris doctor degree in 1977.
The Pennsylvania native who grew up in New Jersey arrived at Rutgers by way of Syracuse University, from which he graduated cum laude in 1974 with a bachelor of arts degree.
