Robert M. Silverman, an associate attorney in our New Jersey office and a member of the Asbestos Litigation group, is known for being a lawyer willing to go as many extra miles as it takes to get the job done for his clients.
He joined Weitz & Luxenberg in 2009, bringing with him more than three decades of experience in personal-injury litigation — specifically, asbestos, defective products, dangerous premises, as well as industrial and automotive accidents.
Mr. Silverman is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is a member of those states’ bar associations. He also is admitted to represent clients in the New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania jurisdictions of U.S. District Court.
Mr. Silverman decided on a career in law after drawing inspiration from an attorney cousin of his who, at the time, worked with consumer advocate Ralph Nader on automobile-safety litigation. Acting upon that decision, Mr. Silverman enrolled at Rutgers University School of Law, from which he earned a juris doctor degree in 1977.
The Pennsylvania native who grew up in New Jersey arrived at Rutgers by way of Syracuse University, from which he graduated cum laude in 1974 with a bachelor of arts degree.
