Samuel I. Zeskind is a Partner with the Firm and a member of our Litigation Division. His trial practice focuses on construction, commercial, complex business, municipal/ governmental and community association law before Federal and State Courts as well as mediation and arbitration. Sam’s appellate practice includes cases before the Florida District Courts of Appeal, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Sam’s construction litigation experience includes the representation of owners, contractors and engineers and has involved the successful representation of government entities in multi-million dollar claims concerning the defective design and construction of an amphitheater and the defective construction of a stormwater system, the representation of contractors in defense of construction defect claims, including the construction of a jet fuel farm at an airport terminal and the construction of an agricultural research center; the representation of engineers in negligence and contract disputes; as well as the representation of homeowners in the prosecution of construction defect claims.
Sam’s community association litigation experience includes the representation of condominium and homeowner’s associations in claims to enforce restrictive covenants and abate nuisances and the defense of breach of contract and wrongful eviction claims. Sam is on the Dean’s Advisory Board for St. Thomas Law School.
