Sarah K. Spencer is an associate in the firm’s General Liability and Toxic Tort and Environmental Practice Groups, with a focus on environmental matters.
Sarah possesses a deep background in environmental law and policy, resource management, and land use, informing her practice at Goldberg Segalla.
Sarah earned a bachelor’s in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Environmental Policy from the University at Buffalo, and went on to earn concurrent degrees in law and forest and natural resource management: She graduated magna cum laude from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and graduated cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law, where she served as executive editor of the Syracuse Law Review.
Prior to attending law school, Sarah worked as an environmental analyst and technical writer, performing site inspections and preparing hundreds of environmental reports for commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
She also served as a legal intern with the New York State Attorney General’s Office Environmental Protection Bureau in Buffalo, and later as a legal and scientific intern in the New York State Attorney General’s Office in Syracuse.
While pursuing her J.D., Sarah interned with the Hon. Eugene M. Fahey in the New York State Court of Appeals and served as research assistant to Syracuse University’s Professor Robin Paul Malloy.
