Soo Hwang is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. She has a broad legal practice, focusing on the representation of public and private companies, investment banks, hedge funds, venture capital funds, and private equity firms in a variety of transactions and general corporate matters, including initial public offerings, debt and equity offerings, private and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and secured financings.
Soo also provides general corporate representation, including assisting clients with securities law compliance and corporate governance issues.In addition, she has experience representing ad hoc groups and steering committees in financial restructuring cases. Soo’s pro bono practice focuses on immigration matters for undocumented residents.
Prior to joining the firm, Soo was an associate in the corporate group of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in Los Angeles. During law school, she worked as an intern in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.In addition to English, Soo is fluent in Korean and Spanish, and proficient in French.
