Theodore Gailan first earned his Masters in Business Administration at DePaul University, in 1977, and became an associate National Trust Examiner for the U.S. Treasury Department.
Mr. Gailan then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate (law degree), at The John Marshall Law School, in 1983. Subsequently, he began his legal career with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he learned how to prosecute all types of felonies drug cases, DUI’s and misdemeanors.
To sharpen his defense skills, Mr. Gailan switched sides and became an Assistant DuPage County Public Defender, where he learned how to defend all types of felonies drug cases, DUI’s and misdemeanors. When he left the DuPage County Public Defender’s Office, he had extensive bench and jury trial experience. Mr. Gailan then took a position with a domestic relations firm, where he litigated diverse and intricate divorce cases, aided by his financial education and background.
In 1996, Mr. Gailan developed a successful Dupage County Attorney practice, to serve both DuPage and Cook Counties, with concentration on criminal, DUI, personal injury and divorce law. His sole intent is to provide the best legal representation possible and to give each client the personal attention he or she deserves.
