Thomas Maroney is an associate in the New York office of Lewis Brisbois and is a member of the Construction and General Liability Practices. He predominantly focuses his practice on construction, general liability, labor law, premises liability and risk transfer.
Mr. Maroney has experience representing general contractors, construction managers, owners, and subcontractor entities and is well versed in New York State Labor Law, OSHA and NYC Administrative Code.
Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Maroney spent several years as a Claims Professional for one of the world’s largest publicly traded P&C insurance company where he gained considerable experience analyzing coverage, pursuing risk transfer opportunities, and managing litigation for complex general liability, construction, and auto matters throughout the country.
Additionally, Mr. Maroney spent several years at a global insurance company where he handled Professional Liability claims across multiple lines of business, including Lawyers, Accountants, Insurance Agents and Brokers, Broker/Dealer and Real Estate Agents. He gained considerable experience with claims-made policies and seeking out risk transfer and obtaining coverage from all available parties.
Throughout his time in Insurance, Mr. Maroney has attended well over 30 mediations on behalf of his insureds and resolved many complex matters involving multiple parties/carriers.
