Anne represents high net worth individuals in Connecticut and New York, blending her years of sophisticated tax training and her lifelong interest in psychology to craft estate plans that serve the complex personal, financial and legal needs of her clients. She strives to become a trusted family advisor.
Anne prepares Wills and trusts of all kinds and advises clients on effective gifting strategies to minimize exposure to estate and gift taxes. She guides her clients on charitable giving techniques and business succession planning, as well as on the selection of guardians for minor children, executors and trustees.
Anne also works closely with individual and institutional executors and trustees in the administration of estates and trusts, including probate court proceedings, preparation of federal and state death tax returns, responding to tax audits, post-mortem tax planning and the final disposition of estates and trusts.
Prior to joining Berkowitz, Trager & Trager, Anne was a trusts and estates attorney at Gregory and Adams PC, in Wilton, CT, from 1994 to 2011, an associate at Kelley Drye & Warren, in Stamford, CT, from 1991 to 1994, and an associate in the personal planning department at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, in NYC, from 1988 to 1991.
