Caleb J. Schillinger

Caleb Schillinger is an associate in the Litigation Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. His practice covers a broad range of commercial litigation and dispute resolution, white collar and internal investigations, and regulatory/compliance counseling, with special focus in franchise disputes, antitrust and consumer class action litigation, and maritime matters.

He has represented clients in the automotive, consumer products, maritime, energy, healthcare, insurance, financial services, education, and other industries, professional sports teams, and foreign sovereigns in federal and state trial and appellate courts, in arbitrations, and before administrative agencies.

Active in pro bono work, he has represented several individuals in criminal appeals and prisoner civil rights cases in federal and state courts. In 2012, he co-authored an amicus brief for the Boston Bar Association and other amici in the United States Supreme Court case Fisher v. University of Texas, et al., in support of the University of Texas at Austin and the constitutionality of its admissions program under the Equal Protection Clause. He also teaches as an adjunct professor of law at Boston College Law School, and is a member of the Antitrust Law and Litigation Sections of the American Bar Association.

Before joining Seyfarth, he was a special assistant district attorney for Essex County, where he represented the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in all stages of criminal prosecutions, including bench and jury trials. He also briefed and argued criminal appeals before the Massachusetts Appeals Court. During law school, he interned at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.
