David Yin represents leading life sciences, medical device, computer hardware and software, and financial services clients in high-stakes litigation, arbitration and regulatory matters. He focuses his practice on complex intellectual property litigation in federal district courts, before the Patent and Trademark Office and at the appellate level.

Mr. Yin also maintains an active pro bono practice, including successful representations of a reporter in a criminal case involving First Amendment issues, a veteran appealing the denial of service-connected disability benefits, and victims of domestic abuse in matters involving the Hague Convention on Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.

Mr. Yin is a member of the Federal Circuit Bar Association. He serves on the board of directors of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association Educational Fund and is the co-chair of the Washington DC chapter of the Rikers Debate Project.

Mr. Yin rejoined the firm after clerking for Judge Timothy B. Dyk of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and while the judge sat by designation on the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.

Mr. Yin was a summer associate at WilmerHale in 2013 and at Dorsey & Whitney LLP in 2012. During law school, he worked as a research assistant to Professor Samuel Estreicher and served as a teaching assistant for Legislation and the Regulatory State. He received the Schulte Roth & Zabel Prize for excellence in employment law.

Mr. Yin previously worked as a clinical research coordinator at Weill Cornell Medical Center, Division of Hematology-Oncology. While in college, Mr. Yin conducted molecular biology, genetics and neuroscience research in the Department of Biological Sciences at Columbia University and at the Harvard-MGH Cutaneous Biology Research Center.
