Devin Smith defends employers in a range of employment matters, including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, hostile work environment, wage and hour class action, trade secret, noncompete, and disability litigation. Devin routinely handles charges filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, and state and local civil rights agencies nationwide.
As former in-house counsel at Microsoft, Devin has significant experience advising on employee-relations issues, involuntary terminations, negotiated separations, competitive departures, personnel policies, handbook revisions, diversity and inclusion, hiring, and other aspects of the employer-employee relationship. Devin’s in-house perspective allows him to provide seasoned, practical guidance to all levels of HR and business leadership.
