
Edward Kirby is an associate in the Investment Funds Group in the Boston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Ed has extensive experience representing private investment fund sponsors on the formation, structuring and management of private investment funds. His practice focuses on capital raising, general partner and management company structuring issues and private investment fund operational matters and regulatory compliance issues.
He has represented the sponsors of private equity, energy, infrastructure and strategic growth funds in forming private investments funds ranging in size from $300 million to $14 billion.
Ed’s experience also includes advising sponsors on matters such as co-investment funds, alternative investment vehicles, single investor funds and limited partner transfers. His experience also includes representing institutional investors in connection with investments in private equity and venture capital funds.
