Erica E. Holland focuses her practice on litigation. Ms. Holland’s practice covers a variety of litigation matters including civil litigation, government enforcement matters, internal investigations and legal compliance. She has worked on government and corporate internal investigations for domestic and international clients. Ms. Holland has experience responding to government subpoenas, working on complex multidistrict litigation, managing discovery projects and witness preparation.
Additionally, she is very active in the firm’s pro bono practice in a variety of fields. She has successfully defended a refugee at trial in removal proceedings in immigration court and won relief for a non-profit in the recovery of funds in D.C. Superior Court. Ms. Holland has also represented individuals seeking asylum, tenant’s involved in proceedings before D.C. Landlord Tenant Court and supports the firm’s anti-human trafficking initiative.
Ms. Holland received her J.D. in 2015 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was symposium editor for theUniversity of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law. She earned her B.A. cum laude with distinction in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Holland was a member of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP’s 2014 summer associate class and was the recipient of our Robert Strauss Diversity Scholarship.
