Heather Kristin Strack

Griffiths Law

Heather’s practice focuses on high-conflict cases, jurisdiction issues,  and cases that involve dealing with family-owned or closely-held businesses. Many of Heather’s cases involve domestic violence, child abuse, drug abuse (including marijuana), or alcohol abuse.

Heather routinely handles a large amount of post-decree trial work, at the trial and appellate level. Heather has significant trial experience, but she firmly believes that the best solutions are built outside of the structure of litigation. Heather is trained in collaborative divorce law, and she believes that trials should be treated as a last resort.

However, if trial is unavoidable, Heather is well prepared to represent her client’s interests in securing the best resolution possible.

Heather graduated from the University of Colorado Law School with a Certificate in Juvenile and Family Law, with honors. During her time at the University of Colorado, Heather worked for the Supreme Court of Ghana, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, Killmer, Lane, & Newmann LLP, and a solo practitioner.

While in law school, Heather studied abroad in Africa and India, developing a deep understanding of the intersection of law and culture. Through her various experiences, Heather received extensive state, federal, and international litigation experience, which she draws upon in presenting her cases to the Court.

Heather also trained in advanced appellate advocacy in a small class setting with Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and worked for Justice Marquez at the Colorado Supreme Court. Heather uses these skills to her client’s benefit in her appellate work.

Heather regularly provides pro bono representation to trial and appellate clients through Metro Volunteer Lawyers, acts as a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem through the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center, and volunteers teaching a family law clinic at Family Tree, a non-profit that assists victims of domestic violence.

Heather also interviews prospective applicants for both of her alma maters and continues to mentor new attorneys through the University of Colorado Law School.
