Hope Guardia joined FVF Law in 2018. Originally a native of Tallahassee, Florida, Hope first moved to Austin in 2009. After working as a Personal Injury Paralegal and Insurance Adjuster, she moved to New Orleans to attend law school. Hope could not wait go get back to the Lone Star State, moving back to Austin just three days after graduating from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in May 2018.
As law student, Hope worked as a student practitioner for the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office. Completing a Tax Certificate in conjunction with her Juris Doctorate, Hope worked in Loyola’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance clinic, preparing tax returns for underserved members of the New Orleans community.
While at Loyola, Hope served as Vice-Justice of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, Social Chair for the Association of Women Law Students, and Student Bar Association Representative for the Criminal Law Society.
During her time at Loyola, Hope received the Clem H. and Norris Shert Tricon Public Interest Scholarship, the Anna and Sarah Shaw Texas Scholarship in Law, and the Law Dean’s Scholarship. Hope was awarded the highest grade in Corporate Taxation, Lawyering III, and Trademark and Unfair Competition.
Hope lives in south Austin with her long-time boyfriend and three fur children; a tuxedo cat named Gatsby, an American shorthair named Bruja, and a silly mutt named Izzy. Hope enjoys traveling to new places, trying new restaurants, live music, and trivia.
She aspires to one day become a Jeopardy contestant, but fully recognizes she does not know nearly enough about eighteenth-century poetry and Norse mythology to ever be a worthy contestant.
