Mr. McKenna is an associate attorney with the firm. His practice focuses on all types of civil litigation, with an emphasis on construction law. Mr. McKenna also regularly works with the firm’s municipal law practice group and advises clients on compliance with Alaska Public Offices Commission regulations.
Previously, Mr. McKenna was an Assistant District Attorney at the Anchorage District Attorney’s Office. There he supervised a felony trial team in Anchorage as well as prosecutions in Dillingham. He handled all types of criminal prosecutions with a focus on prosecuting homicides, sexual assaults, crimes against children, and fire/arson investigation. He was also responsible for the special PACE probation program in Anchorage and participated in the Criminal Justice Commission’s 2015 Justice Reinvestment Report Community Supervision workgroup.
Prior to working at the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. McKenna was an associate attorney at Remy Moose Manley in Sacramento, California. There he specialized in environmental litigation and land use law. He also received a certificate in Environmental Law Studies while in law school.
After law school, Mr. McKenna was the law clerk for the Honorable Michael R. Spaan at the Anchorage Superior Court.
