James G. Clessuras is co-leader of the technology transactions department at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and is a partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Jamie focuses on business transactions driven by the use or acquisition of technology and intellectual property rights.
He has helped clients structure and negotiate a variety of complex transactions, including joint ventures, strategic alliances, technology licenses, and patent-purchase agreements, as well as product research, development, manufacturing, supply, and distribution relationships. In government contracting, he has particular expertise with government regulations and contract clauses regarding technical data, computer software, and patents.
He also works closely with the firm’s corporate attorneys on all intellectual property aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and venture capital investments. Jamie represents both public and private clients in a variety of technology industries, including information technology, semiconductors, and life sciences.
