Jennifer L. Pope focuses her practice on commercial litigation. Her experience includes researching and preparing comprehensive legal memoranda, drafting complaints, motions, interrogatories, trial briefs, and policies for human resource professionals compliant with state and federal laws.
She also has experience assisting businesses and individuals with licensing and regulatory matters before the State of Michigan. She received her J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. While in law school, she served as a title editor on the law review and had her student note selected for publication.
Jennifer graduated at the top of her class, receiving book awards for the highest grade in Contracts I and II, Environmental law, First Amendment, American Indian Law, Access to Justice, and Employment law.
She completed an internship with Wayne County Corporation Counsel in the real estate division, researching and drafting memoranda on bankruptcy, tax-exempt bonds and wage garnishments.
She also drafted right of first refusal agreements, quitclaim deeds, purchase agreements, and assisted with acquisition and disposition of commercial and residential property for the Wayne County Land Bank.
Jennifer also worked with the United Community Housing Coalition counseling and representing tenants facing summary proceedings in the 36th District Court of Michigan.
