Julia Pozo is counsel in the Labor & Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Her practice focuses on defending employers against single-plaintiff claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation based on sex, race, national origin, age, religion, pregnancy, disability, and other protected characteristics.
Ms. Pozo has experience representing employers in federal and state courts, administrative agency investigations, arbitrations, and mediations. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies, as well as small- and medium-sized employers, in a variety of industries, including retail, telecommunications, manufacturing, education, healthcare, and staffing services.
Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Ms. Pozo was in-house counsel at two Fortune 50 companies. In those roles, she managed all types of employment litigation, including class actions and large scale administrative investigations; conducted workplace investigations; negotiated and drafted severance agreements and releases; and worked closely with management and HR partners to draft personnel policies and best practices.
