
Kevin C. McNiff is an associate and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Fund Formation & Investment Management and Private Equity & Venture Capital Practices.
Kevin counsels emerging and middle-market fund managers on the formation and operation of venture capital, hedge, and real estate funds, including fund and management company structuring, side letter negotiations, secondary sales, and Investment Advisers Act registration and compliance.
He also advises public pension plans, university endowments and other institutional investors on investments in commingled and single investor funds, alternative investment vehicles, co-investment funds and separately managed accounts.
In addition to fund matters, Kevin has experience working with early-stage companies and Regulation Crowdfunding portals.
During law school, Kevin worked as a legal intern for The Securities and Exchange Commission and as a research associate for The Institute of International Banking Law and Practice.
Education :
Kevin earned his law degree from The George Washington University Law School (J.D., 2015) where he was a notes editor for the Public Contract Law Journal. He received his bachelor’s degree in history and French from Cornell University (B.A., 2010).
