Kurt M. Ahlberg, was raised in Stratford. He also raised his family of two daughters and a son in Stratford and now enjoys hosting weekends with his grandchildren. His practice and philosophy of the law are shaped by his belief in placing family and community first.
Attorney Ahlberg is a graduate of Fairfield University and the University of Connecticut School of Law. In 2014, Attorney Ahlberg was elected to serve as the Judge of Probate for the town of Stratford. He was admitted to the bar of the State of Connecticut in 1978.
Upon admission to the bar, he joined his father, H. Manton Ahlberg, and has practiced in numerous areas of law including real estate, wills and probate, elder law, civil and injury litigation, municipal and land use law, and corporate and business law.
Attorney Ahlberg has served as an Assistant Town Attorney for the town of Stratford where he helped protect residential neighborhoods from overdevelopment, worked to preserve Roosevelt Forest and the McKinney Wildlife Refuge in the Great Meadows, and remove tolls from the Merritt Parkway.
He also served as a Fact Finder/Arbitrator in the Bridgeport Superior Court and as a member of the Local Panel of the Statewide Grievance Committee for Judicial District of Ansonia / Milford. Throughout is career, Attorney Ahlberg has been committed to the community.
