Melissa L. Isaak focuses her practice on domestic relations for men. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Isaak served in the United States Army as an active duty soldier for four years.
While on active duty, Ms. Isaak attended college as a full-time student and obtained her bachelor’s degree and a masters degree in psychology.
After an honorable discharge from the military, Ms. Isaak worked as a child and adolescent therapist in both a residential hospital and in a private practice setting.
She also worked as an adjunct professor of psychology at Wallace Community College in Dothan, Alabama where she taught courses in general psychology, human growth and development and statistics.
Ms. Isaak also obtained a second masters degree in criminal justice and became a published author while conducting research for the United States Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL).
She then obtained her law degree from Barry University School of Law where she served as Senior Editor of the Barry Law Review.
Ms. Isaak received a direct commission as a JAG officer in the Alabama National Guard and is a member of the Family Law Committee of the Alabama Law Institute.
