Michael Hanasab, a partner at Jamra & Jamra, has been exclusively practicing family law since he graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. Michael’s practice focuses on all aspects of family law, including dissolution of marriage, paternity actions, child custody, spousal and child support, domestic violence, highly contested cases involving custody evaluations and other related issues involving family law matters.
Michael has a clients-practical resolution outlook and an aptitude for aggressive litigation when necessary. Michael’s versatile personality allows him to be a tenacious litigator while persevering in efforts to facilitate a settlement.
Michael has consistently been named a Southern California Super Lawyer “Rising Star” by Los Angeles Magazine and Law & Politics since 2009.
Prior to Michael’s family law practice, Michael developed his legal experience by focusing on the entertainment and music industry, which provides Michael with a unique perspective when dealing with the firms entertainment clientele.
His experience in the entertainment field included working in the business and legal affairs department of eLabs at Universal Music Group and for the Law Offices of Lisa E. Socransky where Michael drafted complex transactional agreements for the firm’s diverse entertainment clientele.
Michael graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2003, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Society. Immediately following graduation, Michael attended Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, graduating in 2006 with a Juris Doctor degree.
During his law school years, Michael worked as a judicial extern for The Honorable Judge Candace Beason as well as The Honorable Judge Michelle Rosenblatt. As a judicial extern, Michael assisted the bench officers with researching and opining on law and motion hearings and settlement conferences.
Additionally, Michael periodically co-authors articles on groundbreaking family law cases for a monthly family law magazine-California Family Law Monthly-a publication disseminated to the California family law community and is a member of the following the California State Bar, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
Michael has also served as a Family Law Neutral for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
