Michael Joseph Harris

Mike has been an attorney since 2000.  He is a former Colorado state prosecutor for El Paso and Teller Counties and a Florida state prosecutor for Palm Beach County and Pasco County.

He is also a former Navy JAG having been defense counsel to sailors and marines in Yokosuka, Japan and lawyer for the Naval Surface Force of the Atlantic Fleet in Norfolk, Virginia.

He has handled major felonies including homicides, sex and child abuse, drug trafficking, and economic crimes.  He was also appointed to mental health civil commitment cases.

As a prosecutor and JAG, he was handpicked to handle cases where police officers were the victim or the defendant and cases against Navy and Marine Corps officers accused of crimes.

Since starting his private practice in 2008, he has represented clients facing a wide range of charges from traffic and DUIs to major felonies.  He also has helped clients with a range of civil and administrative cases such as child welfare (dependency and neglect), school expulsion, and restraining orders.

He has helped people in all walks of life.  Most of his clients are good, hard working people, such as soldiers, construction workers, and nurses.  He has also helped two former mayors, a police chief, and other police and their family members.  His current clients include a former state legislator and a police officer.
