
Born and Raised in Stamford, Connecticut, Mr. Barocas attended New Canaan Country School (NCCS), an independent day school, from 1973 to 1983. Following his graduation from NCCS, Barocas enrolled in the tenth grade at Brunswick School in Greenwich, CT, where he played football, and lacrosse.
Upon graduation from Brunswick in 1986, Barocas moved to Washington DC to attend the George Washington University where he studied finance and was elected Senator representing the business school in the university’s Student Association. While at college Mr. Barocas was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and the University Club.
Barocas returned to Connecticut following his college graduation and joined William Pitt Real Estate in their Stamford office and remained there through 1993. In that year he enrolled in law school at Quinnipiac University and graduated in December 1995.
Since 1996, attorney Barocas has been committed to serving the needs of his clients placing strong emphasis on delivering the utmost personal attention and customer service that he can. To better serve his clients, Barocas opened his own firm in 2003 known as Barocas & Associates. Today that firm has become, The Barocas Law Firm.
Attorney Barocas is committed to continuing professional development. Attorney Barocas attends continuing legal education courses and seminars to extend his skills and stay up to date on the latest developments that may be relevant to his clients. Attorney Barocas lectures before the community, real estate firms, mortgage companies and banks and has been published in the Connecticut Law Tribune.
Attorney Barocas presently sits on the Board of the Young Leadership Division of the United Jewish Federation of Greater Stamford, New Canaan and Darien. He is also a founding member of the New Canaan Alliance of Business Professionals. Attorney Barocas resides with his wife Lisa Barocas in Stamford. They have two children.
