Rachel Tennis is a member of the Environmental, Health and Safety Practice Group in King & Spalding’s Washington, D.C., office. Rachel defends companies in environmental enforcement actions and has substantial experience with enforcement negotiations.
She also routinely provides regulatory compliance counseling to clients on a range of environmental issues. Before joining King & Spalding, Rachel was an Assistant Regional Counsel for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region IX, where she served as the lead attorney on matters under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act. She has worked closely with multiple offices in EPA and the U.S. Department of Justice.
