Ryan Wedell is an associate in the Entertainment and Digital Media Practice Group in the firm’s Century City office. Ryan’s practice focuses on transactional entertainment matters related to the development and production of television and film. He also advises entertainment and media companies on issues related to regulatory compliance, data privacy and intellectual property.
Ryan is valued for his pragmatic approach to problem-solving, adopting cost-effective and practical solutions to complicated transactions and disputes. Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Ryan worked as an associate at another major law firm, where he represented clients in both entertainment transactions and complex commercial litigation.
In addition to private practice, Ryan has litigated numerous unlawful detainers in a pro-bono capacity. Ryan’s experience as a litigator allows him to provide clients with informed, holistic counsel on a myriad of issues. Ryan is currently a member of the Associate Advisory Board for Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, where he has served on the Executive Committee since 2017.
