Sandra R. Lewitz is an associate in the firm’s corporate practice. Ms. Lewitz represents companies and private equity funds in complex business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures of subsidiaries and business segments, distressed M&A transactions, reorganizations, debt and equity financings, joint ventures, private equity investments and other strategic transactions across a broad range of industries. Ms. Lewitz also assists clients with a variety of corporate governance-related matters.
Additionally, Ms. Lewitz maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on immigration matters and international human rights issues.Ms. Lewitz received her J.D. in 2016 from Fordham University School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Lewitz was a member of the Fordham Urban Law Journal and served as student representative on the International Affairs Committee.
Ms. Lewitz graduated from the University of Amsterdam with an LL.B. in Dutch civil law and an LL.M. in international and European tax law.Prior to joining Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, Ms. Lewitz worked at another international law firm in the capital markets and corporate practice groups of its New York office.
