
STEPHEN K HARRIS was admitted to practice law in the State of California in 1988 and in the State of Utah in 1993. Although he was born in Salt Lake City, Utah he spent his early years in Southeastern Idaho, graduating from Idaho State University (B.S. Biology) and thereafter making his home in Irvine, California.
There as a successful entrepreneur and business owner he gained years of practical experience in commercial real estate, retail and manufacturing concerns.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Mr. Harris received his legal education at Western State University, Fullerton, California graduating in 1987 (J.D. with Scholastic Merit) He served as an Editorial Board Member of the Western State University Law Review and authored an article on unemployment compensation.
He has taken special training for appointment as a Private Guardian ad Litem by the Office of the Guardian ad Litem of the State of Utah. He regularly attends continuing legal education events as required by both the California State Bar and State of Bar of Utah.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: He is actively involved in civic affairs and served five years as a Planning Commissioner including one year as Vice- Chairman of the Hurricane City Utah Planning Commission. He has been an adjunct faculty member for Dixie State University, St. George, Utah where he taught Business Law.
COURT ADMISSIONS: He is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, The United States Court of Claims, District Courts in the Districts of Utah, Central and Southern California.
Mr. Harris is also admitted to all courts in the State of California (since 1988) and all courts in the State of Utah (since 1993). He is an active member of the Utah State Bar, the State Bar of California and the Southern Utah Bar Association.
