In the first half of his career, Tom handled high-stakes personal injury and business litigation for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies as a partner in three national law firms.

This invaluable experience taught him just what to do to maximize your position and aggressively pursue your recovery. Tom first started trying cases at the international law firm Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP (now known as Norton Rose).

After becoming a partner at Fulbright, Tom successfully represented aviation manufacturers, oil field equipment manufactures, and exploration & production companies in all types of commercial, personal injury, and product liability litigation.

Thereafter, Tom moved to Sutherland Asbill to assist in building its Houston litigation group.  While there, Tom focused on commercial litigation, maritime and admiralty claims for offshore service companies and pipeline companies.

Tom later joined Baker Hostetler’s energy team where he tried cases dealing with on-shore gas drilling, hydraulic fracturing, and oil field explosions. Tom became one of the national trial counsel for an international oilfield equipment manufacturer handling losses caused by explosions, fires, blowouts, valve failures and human error.

Just as often, Tom enforced the company’s contractual rights under its master service agreements, pursuing recovery of defense, indemnity and insurance costs.

Tom is also no stranger to the courtroom and has been retained to handle cases in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado and Pennsylvania. Tom’s successful approach to litigation has maximized the economic recovery for his clients including a more than $33 million dollar jury award for one offshore pipeline company.

For twenty-two years, Tom has worked with clients involved in serious personal injuries, oil field emergencies, equipment failures, products liability defects and commercial business disputes. For business clients, Tom has enforced contractual rights, obtained injunctions, asserted claims for indemnity, pursued insurance protection, and recovered damages and lost profits.
