Travis D. Whitsitt is a registered patent attorney who focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation. He prepares and files both domestic and international patent applications for various technologies and has significant experience in the prosecution process including appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Mr. Whitsitt is also an accomplished litigator, having appeared in both jury and bench trials in federal court for patent and trademark infringement matters. Mr. Whitsitt also has extensive experience in discovery (including both written discovery disputes and depositions) and motions practice.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Whitsitt worked as a patent and litigation associate at an intellectual property law firm based in Fort Collins, Colorado where he prosecuted international and domestic patent applications.
While attending law school, Mr. Whitsitt worked extensively within the Bluhm Legal Clinic’s Negotiation Department and was a teaching assistant in Professor Daniel Gandert’s workshop on negotiations.
Prior to launching his legal career, Mr. Whitsitt was a Cardiovascular Telemetry Technician at Poudre Valley Health Systems in Fort Collins, Colorado where he specialized in electrocardiography.
