Vanessa V. Pisano focuses her practice on the representation of mortgage lenders, servicers and investors in litigation arising out of alleged wrongful foreclosure, mortgage fraud, predatory lending and violations of consumer protection statutes.
Ms. Pisano also represents clients in litigation involving professional liability, with an emphasis on the defense of legal professionals. Prior to joining Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, Ms. Pisano was a commercial litigation associate at another Boston firm where she concentrated her practice on professional liability law and transportation law.
Ms. Pisano began her legal career at the Boston-area office of a national firm where she represented Fortune 500 companies in civil RICO litigation related to civil conspiracy and healthcare fraud.
Ms. Pisano graduated from Suffolk University Law School cum laude in 2010. While in law school, Ms. Pisano worked at a large Boston firm specializing in products and premises liability, workers’ compensation, and employment law. Ms. Pisano received her bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College in 2005.
During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Pisano was a member of the Dean’s List and the recipient of the Community Scholar Award. She also played lacrosse competitively as a four-year member of the Wheat Women’s Lacrosse Team, serving as team captain and All-American her senior year.
