William J. Sauers specializes in intellectual property matters. As a partner in our Intellectual Property, Patent and Trademark Litigation practice, Bill represents clients in infringement litigation and counsels on IP protection strategies.
With extensive trial experience, Bill represents clients in complex high-stakes litigation over patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, copyright infringement and trademarks, as well as contractual matters involving IP rights.
In addition, Bill advises clients on developing and protecting IP portfolios, including the identification, protection, licensing and enforcement of trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. Building on his prior experience as an attorney in the Trademark Division of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, he is especially able to provide guidance on trademark development, prosecution and clearance, as well as on proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Bill is also a frequent writer and presenter on IP and patent law topics.
