Ilana Cohen is an associate in Mayer Brown’s New York office and a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. Her practice focuses on representing financial institutions, data protection and information management companies, and other multinational corporations in complex commercial and securities litigation in federal and state courts.
Ilana concentrates on the areas of banking and financial services, including actions involving alleged violations of the securities laws, allegations of fraud or misrepresentation in the sale of complex financial instruments, and shareholder derivative claims against corporations. Her experience includes representing clients in government agency proceedings, internal investigations and arbitrations.
Additionally, Ilana works on matters involving the Bankruptcy Code. In her pro bono practice, Ilana has represented and advised clients in a variety of civil rights and immigration matters.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Ilana served as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael M. Baylson of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
