
Iliana Kirova is a partner in Mayer Brown’s New York office and a member of the Corporate & Securities practice. She focuses her practice on the representation of private investment funds in relation to fundraising and regulatory compliance and on institutional investors in connection with their alternative investments.
She has represented fund sponsors in connection with the structuring and organization of a wide range of private investment funds, including private equity buyout funds, debt funds, real estate funds, secondary funds, special focus funds, hybrid funds and funds of funds.
Iliana has also represented private equity funds of funds and other institutional investors in a variety of alternative investments, including primary investments, traditional and synthetic secondary investments, and direct co-investments.
Her experience includes representation of fund managers in carried interest arrangements, transfers of fund interests, dissolution and termination of funds, fund restructuring and recapitalization, and management company restructurings.
