Jerome S Cohen

Jerome S. Cohen is one of the firm’s founding partners. Over three decades Mr. Cohen has benefitted clients including private and governmental entities, individuals, partnerships, and corporations.

Mr. Cohen is board certified in business bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification, a distinction requiring high standards of accomplishment and peer recognition. Few of America’s lawyers can claim this distinction. Mr. Cohen has successfully handled complex problems and prevailed in court and with out of court settlements.

A creative and practical attorney, Mr. Cohen has attained client results in trial and motion practice before the bankruptcy courts.  Also, he has achieved favorable out of court settlements in national, regional, and local scale cases.

In Chapter 11 debtor representation, he has confirmed plans and gained a significant form of recognition, judicial approval of fee requests on the basis of cost effective service.

Mr. Cohen holds a bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College and a law degree from University of Pennsylvania Law School.

A former law clerk to Judge Walter K. Stapleton in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, Mr Cohen is admitted to practice in California, Delaware, District of Columbia, and Maryland.
