Marcus A. Miller has come up through the ranks of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP where he now practices in the Litigation practice group of our Columbus office. He spent four years working for Shumaker full time while attending law school at night.
Marcus brings a high level of dependable dedication to his work and to each client, which ranges from large telecommunications companies and manufacturers to small businesses and individuals. He handles all aspects of litigation and works on cases involving a variety of legal issues, including breach of contract, personal injury, and environmental liability. He has also worked on collections matters and evictions.
While in law school, Marcus served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Algenon Marbley of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, as well as judicial extern for Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor of the Ohio Supreme Court. Hewas also a staff member of the Capital University Law Review, Volume 45.
Marcus’ interest in the legal field was sparked at a young age; he has always been enamored by movie and television scenes depicting lawyers working late, sleeves rolled up, eating take-out Chinese food and figuring out a solution to an ominous problem.
He ultimately chose to become an attorney because of his belief that the law touches every aspect of society, and he sought to be in an industry that allows him to assist clients with a wide variety of topics and issues.
