
Mia Ta graduated from the University of California, Davis, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Biology. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne, College of Law and was a scholarship recipient.
While obtaining her law degree, she participated in the University of La Verne Trial team honor program and served as a Treasurer for the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.
She was also a legal Intern at the Federal Public Defender’s office and was recognized by the school for her Outstanding Achievement in Pro Bono work. After being admitted to the bar, Ms. Ta began practicing at a large insurance defense firm specialized in workers’ compensation. She successfully managed her own caseload from inception to resolution and handled a wide range of matter including employment discrimination.
Since then, Ms. Ta has again dedicated her practice to Bankruptcy Law and civil litigation. She worked as a Paralegal at a prominent local bankruptcy firm prior to Law School. She is well versed in all areas of litigation and has experience conducting negotiations, client intake, hearings and motions.
