Richard F. Allen has practiced all facets of insurance law during his career with a special emphasis on marine, energy and aviation matters. He is a former office managing partner of the London office of Cozen O’Connor LLP and is a former chairman of the Maritime Litigation Committee of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association.
Dick received his undergraduate degree in 1955 from Yale University and his law degree from Georgetown University in 1961. He was commissioned in the Navy after college graduation and remained on active duty more than six years serving in the Pacific Fleet and as a member of the faculty of the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis. He holds the rank of Captain (Retired) in the U.S. Navy Reserve.
