Robert L. Bourguignon has extensive finance experience covering lending, structured finance, real estate finance, asset based lending, commercial and industrial lending, and cross-border transactions.
Robert represents private equity firms, local, regional, and national banks, domestic and foreign hedge funds, and private lenders in a wide range of activities including traditional and non-traditional real estate finance, leasehold finance, debtor-in-possession finance, litigation finance, consumer lending finance, Native American tribal lending, and financing of natural resources.
Collateral types have included consumer loan portfolios, all manner of real estate collateral, business equity, litigation proceeds, accounts receivable, professional athlete contracts, mortgage loan portfolios, foreign government receivables, oil and gas extraction facilities, healthcare accounts, insurance policies and proceeds, factored receivables, and artwork.
He has extensive experience with inter-lender issues and documentation, including Co-Lender and Intercreditor Agreements. Robert not only structures and originates transactions, but has been involved in modifications, forbearances, restructurings, workouts, foreclosures, litigation, and bankruptcies.
